E mom dot com

This is a story of a boy named Anko. He liveed in Mumbai, a metro city in India. Anko was 12 year old . He never studied well, he was computer crazy. All the time he sticked to the computer, either playing computer games or serfing on net. He never played any real ground game with his friends either. One day he was serfing on the net going from one site toanother. His mom was helplessly watching his aimless wandering on the info high way. The info highway was full of temptations. There were malls selling everything real and virtual. There were some chat rooms where gangs of some netizens were talking rubbish. There were cyber police too. But they were almost nonentities. Anko visited all these places but lingered at nowhere. His mom had asked her to study for seventeen times. But he did not pay heed and continued. After some time he said, "Mama I am hungry"But Mama did not respond. So he shouted "Mama give me something to eat, I 'll study after eating." Yet his m

Your House for Money?

You need money. You need it badly. At 65, however, you don't have the stamina to stomach the inconvenience a long-term loan would require. So, what do you do? You tap into the value of your home and convert it into cash! This is possible through reverse mortgage. Reverse mortgage lenders let you borrow money against your own property. Why go to a reverse mortgage lender and not a bank? We asked people who have been to their reverse mortgage lenders, and these are the reasons they gave. 1. You do not need to pay back the loan UNLESS you decide to sell your house, change address, or - inconveniently for you and your reverse mortgage lender - die. 2. Release of the loan is not based on credit history. What is it based on then? The equity of your home is one factor, but there are also a host of others. 3. Payments, or non-payment for that matter, to your reverse mortgage lenders would not affect your Social Security, Medicare, or pension benefits. 4. Payments and loan amounts are tax-f

How Significant is a Finance Calculator Tool?

Even a person with significant financial or business knowledge finds navigating the financial world difficult. The world of finance is a world full of legal riddles and unfamiliar speech. To help professionals and laypersons to maneuver in this complex world, a multitude of analysis tools, like a finance calculator, comes into play. A finance calculator is an online tool which allows anyone to calculate the specific data for a financial plan that works with a client’s specific budget to meet their specific needs. There is a finance calculator for everyone. The most popular financial calculator is used to calculate mortgages and their impact on one’s household budget. These mortgage calculators compute amounts of monthly payments as well as the impact of any prepayments. Keep Safe When Using Your Credit Card Online

If you shop online or use online banking, then you might be familiar with HTTPS protocols and the way that they help keep your information safe. However, if you are new to online shopping or banking, then you should know about HTTPS and how to make sure that your credit card details are safe when you purchase online. Here is some information about HTTPS and its uses. What is HTTPS? HTTPS stands for HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure. It is similar to a normal HTTP used when viewing a web site, except that it uses SSL security in order to keep your information safe and private. This type of address is used when going to any site where you might input your financial details in order to view accounts or purchase goods. How do I know a site is HTTPS? Many Internet browsers have settings that will alert you when you are going onto a secure page of a site. Then y

Wipro to open two BPO centres in China by next month

Bangalore, Aug 7 (PTI) Wipro is setting up two BPO centres in China by next month with a combined employee pool of 300, while another unit in the US will be opened later. "We would be starting by next month...It will be up (in China)," Wipro Chief Executive Officer (BPO) T K Kurien told PTI here. The two centres are coming up in Shanghai and Chengdu, he said. The two centres in China would provide financial services and finance and accounting works, Kurien said. "Our ambition is to grow to 10-15 customers in China," he said. "All our current customers will go there". Wipro BPO's Chinese foray is the second such initiative after Romania, where it has already set up a unit. Wipro BPO also plans to open a centre in the US in the next six to nine months, he said. "We have identified the place. I can't talk about it right now," Kurien said. "It (the proposed US centre) will basically do processing. All our customers are demanding round-th

US to work with Pak in dealing with any terror threat: Boucher

Islamabad, Aug 16 (PTI) Voicing support for Pakistan's efforts to deal with extremism, the US today said it will work with its South Asian ally in tackling any terrorist threat if there is an "actionable intelligence." "If either side has any actionable intelligence of people presenting any threat, the US and Pakistan would work together to meet the threat," US Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher told a press conference here after two days of talks with the Pakistani leaders. He said the US supported efforts of Pakistan in dealing with the challenge of extremism and terrorism. "Terrorists are harming Pakistan as there have been Taliban and al-Qaeda-type attacks on Pakistani security forces and innocent Pakistanis." The US official expressed hope that the just-concluded joint 'jirga', or a council of tribal elders, in Kabul would go a long way in promoting peace and security in borders of Pakistan and Afghanistan. To a question, Boucher

Uranium deal will bind India with same conditions of NPT

Melbourne, Aug 17 (PTI) Australian Prime Minister John Howard today said the "strict safeguards" India has to follow to obtain uranium supplies from Canberra will have the same effect of that country signing the nuclear non-proliferation treaty (NPT). "I can assure your listeners that the net effect of our safeguards agreement will be the same," Howard told ABC radio today adding it will prevent India from using the fuel for developing nuclear weapons. Howard last night reached an in-principle agreement with his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh, despite India being one of the only four countries not to have signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty (NPT). "It's a different approach and India has not signed the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. But we believe that these arrangements will deliver effectively the same outcome," he said. Howard said both countries would enter a bilateral safeguards agreement, and India would have to enter a similar agre

Indo-US nuke deal with Hyde Act, NPT obligations: US scholars

Washington, Aug 16 (PTI) Refuting criticism that fuel assurances and reprocessing right to India are inconsistent with US' non-proliferation obligations and the Hyde Act, two reputed scholars have said the 123 Agreement will "limit the negative impact" of disagreement over NPT on bilateral ties. In their memo "US Nuclear Agreement with India: An Acceptable Deal for Major Strategic Gain", Lisa Curtis and Baker Spring have said India's behaviour "is consistent with a policy to establish objective criteria for civil nuclear cooperation with de facto nuclear weapons states." "Throughout the negotiations, India consistently defended its right to reprocess nuclear fuel under this agreement. The Administration ultimately accepted Indian demands but distinguished between the right and an entitlement to US assistance in the pursuit of reprocessing activities. "In fact, any action on reprocessing will depend on the conclusion of a subsequent agreem

Howard speaks to PM: Australia to sell uranium to India

Melbourne, Aug 16 (PTI) Defending Australian government's decision to lift the ban on uranium sales to India, Premier John Howard today spoke to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh after which he announced the two countries will negotiate a uranium trade pact. "Australia has decided in principle to export uranium to India, subject to India agreeing to very stringent safeguards and conditions," Howard told reporters in Canberra shortly after he had a telephonic conversation with Singh. "I spoke to the Indian prime minister a short while ago. He's welcomed the government's decision," he said noting that India had "a very good non-proliferation track record." Howard's announcement came even as Australian government's chief nuclear adviser Ziggy Switkowski said he expected a ban on nuclear testing by India to be part of any deal with Australia. "Our officials will now enter into negotiations regarding the conditions," he said, adding &q

Lashkar, Jaish in realm of suspicion for Hyderabad blasts: Govt

Security agencies are suspecting that Pakistan-based terror outfits like Laskhar-e-Taiba or Jaish-e-Mohammad may be behind the deadly Hyderabad blasts that claimed 40 lives, the government said on Wednesday. "Investigations into this incident are in a very, very preliminary stage and based on some information so far some possibilities have been identified and expressed," Union Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta said in New Delhi. "These elements or organisations are clearly outside the country and they resort to fuelling such kinds of activities." he said in New Delhi after flagging off a BSF mountaineering expedition. Asked if any group has been identified, he said while the probe was in its initial stages, security agencies and state police were suspecting the role of Laskhar-e-Taiba or Jaish-e-Mohammad. "But what is more important is to nab those who planned it and those who executed it," he said. His comments came a day after Home Minister Shivraj Patil ref
